Our Mission
It is so easy to fall into a pattern of apathy as we go through our lives. Our organization was born out of a commitment to stop passing over the real issues of society, and deal with them head on. We have set out to aid those who need it most. Red Tax is here to help, and we believe that change is possible when we put our hearts and minds to it.
About Us
Founded in the months after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, The Red Tax is an organization created to fuel the movement for reproductive and menstrual justice through youth-led advocacy. Roe v. Wade was the product of a movement by the youth, for the youth. We believe that civic engagement from young people is the solution to rebuilding reproductive rights. The Red Tax began as an initiative to supply free menstrual products at the founders' school, and it has since expanded to advocate for menstrual equity across the state of New Mexico.
