The Legislation

We believe that the first step to protecting menstrual and reproductive equity in New Mexico is supporting the youth. Our team members, Noor and Mireya, began the process of securing free access to menstrual products by writing mock legislation at the 2022 New Mexico YMCA Youth and Government Conference. From there, we contacted representatives from the NM House to draft a bill with a similar purpose. Today, we have built support for menstrual equity and worked to create an official bill in the NM legislature. Click on the image above to see our bill!
